Being reincarnated into a second lifetime by Irene after the events of Minecraft Diaries, Aaron was born to Derek and Rachel of the Lycan family, with an older sister named Melissa. For his senior year of high school, Aaron asked to attend a public setting instead of a military academy. Aaron agreed to this and proceeded to act more aggressive and stand-offish to everyone. After he graduated high school, Aaron attended Falcon Claw University, primarily because his family-owned land in the area and could easily keep an eye on him.
He was under strict surveillance during his time there and made few to no friends. He rarely interacted with people at all, outside of group projects for class. Throughout Aphmau’s first year at Phoenix Drop High, Aaron transforms from a class delinquent and outcast to a quiet confidant and someone she can depend on. Initially, he is quite hostile and detached from the other students at school, leading to altercations early on in the year and even detention. One of Aaron’s ways to cope with his loneliness at school was to escape into the music room and play guitar during lunch, an activity that Aphmau accidentally discovers during her falling out with Gene. Not knowing who is on the other side of the door, she unloads her stresses on Aaron, who listens patiently and offers advice. In “Aaron VS Aphmau,” Aaron allows his competitive side to shine when Aphmau challenges him to a sports competition.
He plays crafty during the final event, a foot race, duping her into a loss by pretending to give her the win only to sprint to the finish line while she was caught off guard. In “Aaron’s Friend,” Aaron is sure Aphmau’s ears and tail are fake while under the effects of a werewolf potion and attempts to grab them for proof. During the ensuing argument, Aphmau shames Aaron for not having any friends, and it is revealed that one of the only people he considers a friend is Lily, a fellow student who usually tries to flirt with him with no success and one of the people that bullied Aphmau. Throughout the beginning of the year, Aaron continues to text his online friend Shu, teasing them, chatting with them, and offering them advice whenever he can.
In “Meeting FC,” it is revealed that Shu is actually Aphmau, and the two struggle to find a way to start over as friends, this time with years of online interaction behind them. In “FC and Shu,” he defends Aphmau after Lily tries to bully her. He tells Lily that he and Aphmau had been friends for a long time, and that if she can’t be nice to her, then they shouldn’t be friends. Balto later walks up to them and realized that they’re friends now as well. Sylvana invites Aaron, Garroth, and Travis over for dinner using Aphmau’s phone.
Despite the dinner being burnt, Aaron saves it by using some cooking techniques he’d picked up fending for himself while his parents were busy with work. In “A Woof’s Tale” and “Heartbreaker,” it’s revealed that on Valentine’s Day, Aaron gave Aphmau a plush wolf at risk of being thrown out by his family during an attic cleaning. He said it was to help her study for werewolf class, since she was so bad at it. Aaron accidentally gets roped into babysitting in “Aphmau Has a Baby! Hijinks ensue, such as Aaron learning that Aphmau doesn’t know where babies come from, and the two grow closer over their shared experience.
