Protein ice cream

Indulge in our dairy-free and egg-free vanilla ice cream, the perfect dessert for summer as part of a vegan menu. Pour most of the coconut milk into a saucepan, reserving a splash in a small bowl for protein ice cream. Put the seeds and the pod, or vanilla paste, into the pan.

Mix the cornflour with the reserved coconut milk in a small bowl until smooth. Pour into the hot milk, and continually whisking, heat for another 5-10 mins until the mixture thickens to a pourable custard consistency. Strain into a bowl, and cover. Leave to cool, then chill for at least 2 hrs. Pour the chilled mix into an ice cream maker, and churn for 20-30 mins until you get a soft scoop ice cream.

Transfer to a sealable container and freeze for up to 3 months until ready to serve. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the chilled mix into a wide-based plastic tub or dish. It is also dairy free, low carb, keto friendly, and sugar free. 2 grams net carbs per serving. If there is one food I will never EVER get sick of, it is ice cream. This high protein ice cream recipe just needs 3 ingredients and NO ice cream maker needed! Smooth, creamy and made with no sugar, it’s low carb, dairy free and vegan! The market is currently saturated with a plethora of protein ice creams, pints of low calorie and low sugar dairy treats and frozen desserts based off of protein powder. While there are some which actually are quite tasty, I think we can agree that the price is definitely not.

Halotop, Arctic Zero, and even house brands are all coming out with more and more high protein ice cream flavors, but what I told you that you could easily make your own? For all the times we crave a frozen dessert but want to be a little bit healthy, they are great. However, I want to show you that you can EASILY make it right in the comfort of your own kitchen. You don’t need an ice cream maker or a plethora of hard to find ingredients.
